Who's behind the website — and why it exists.
I'm a practising medical doctor based in Singapore, and I'm also the dad of a 3-year-old daughter. Those two roles collide daily.
In clinic, I answer the same questions over and over: "Is this fever serious?" "When do I give Panadol vs Nurofen?" "Is my child hitting their milestones?" Parents leave reassured — but only because they happened to be in front of a doctor. Most Singapore parents don't have that luxury at 3am.
I built healthykids.sg to change that. Not to replace your doctor — but to give every Singapore parent the same clear, honest, evidence-based answers that I give in clinic, available any time, for free.
Evidence-based child health guidance, written in plain English, by someone who is both medically trained and actually living the Singapore parenting experience. No jargon. No American content that doesn't apply here. No paywalls.
healthykids.sg has two types of content — free tools and medical articles:
Fever management, paediatric medication dosing, common childhood infections, vaccine schedules — the questions that come up most in clinic.
Sleep training methods, age-by-age schedules, night feed guidance, Singapore-specific challenges (HDB, helpers, grandparents).
From fertility and pregnancy through delivery, newborn care, and toddler years — written from personal experience as much as clinical knowledge.
Singapore family activities, kid-friendly parks, cafes and rainy-day ideas — doctor-dad tested, toddler approved.
